5 Things You Didn't Know About Me
I've been seeing posts like this around the blogosphere (here and here) and I thought it was high time I jumped in and posted one of my own. Here goes nothing!
---------
ONE: I'm pretty afraid of the ocean. Not in a "I'm never getting in" sort of way, but more of a "I have mad respect for its power + I'm 95% sure there is always a shark swimming directly below me" sort of way. A lot of the fear is probably illogical, but it's always there when ocean adventures come calling.
TWO: I'm somewhat new to adventuring. Yep. It's true. I know I post a lot of adventure-related content here on The Journal, but finding fun things to do outdoors is a fairly new interest of mine. Even though I've always been an active person, easing myself into new-to-me outdoor adventures has totally become my jam over the last few years.
THREE: Some of you reading this post already know this, but for those who don't: I wear a prosthesis on my right arm. I was born with just half of my right arm and have worn various prosthetic limbs most of my life. I've found ways to work around it, but it's a continual challenge to make my body (and mind, if I'm being 100% honest) do what I know it can do. I also signed up to type for a living, which is sort of hilarious. In case you're wondering: yes, I type one-handed.
FOUR: I have a strong desire to do voice-over work. I've been told I have a nice voice (both speaking and singing) and I think it would be amazing to use it in some way. I may never be a rockstar thanks to some seriously crazy stage fright, but I'd love to lend my voice to some cool collaborative project someday. If any of you know how to make that happen, I'm totally open to suggestions!
FIVE: I'm a bit of an introvert. I used to work in marketing and PR, which truly caters to extroverts. I was constantly finding myself emotionally drained and realized how much I love being alone in a quiet room, once I started working for myself. That said, I still seek out interaction on a regular basis so I'm not a total hermit. I guess I just fall somewhere on the introvert side of the spectrum.

That about wraps it up! I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about me. Now it's your turn: I'd love to learn more about you, dear readers! If you'd like to play along, just be sure to link up to your post in the comment section.
