Photo Essay: A Day Trip to Nevada City, California
Though I've lived in the Sacramento area for quite some time, I'm ashamed to admit that I have yet to explore many of the cute little towns tucked away in the Sierra Nevada foothills. So when my friend April came to town last weekend and had a trip to Nevada City in the works, I was super excited to tag along.
The verdict? Nevada City is a really cute town! We headed up the hill around mid-morning and spent the day popping into cute shops, appreciating an eclectic mix of architecture, grabbing a yummy lunch here and wrapping up the afternoon with coffee and sweet treats here.
We found one shop, in particular, to be exceptionally charming. Kitkitdizzi is a sweet little space full of wonderfully unique goodies. Luckily, the owners were okay with me taking a few photos so I could share with you!
I can't recommend Nevada City enough, my friends! If you have an afternoon and want a little extra charm in your life, be sure to add the foothill town to your list.

Tell me: what are some of your favorite small towns? We spend a lot of time seeking out nature when we travel, but I can't pass up a lively main street. I'd love to hear about the places you all know and love!
