Photo Essay: Springtime in Seattle
I'd by lying if I told you everything went smoothly on my latest CYOP Road Trip to the Pacific Northwest. Seattle, in particular, was tough. A lot of the people I initially reached out to never got back to me, some interviewees had to cancel at the last minute and others came through just in the nick of time (which means I scrambled a bit to do research, draft questions and coordinate the interviews).
However, I ended up chatting with a handful of super inspiring people and—lucky for me—the city put. on. a. show. I couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather while I was there and exploring the city with family and friends (when I wasn't schlepping microphones all over town) was perfection.
I mean, look at this place:
Stunning, right?
I know Seattle tends to be a seen as a gloomy, rain-drenched place, but I definitely soaked up the sunny days while I was in town. Special thanks to Amanda, my aunt and all of the interviewees who made this trip possible!
